Our story begins in Mexico exploring the amazing regional cuisines and ends with the creation of a unique hand-crafted product.
I was raised in Mexico City where I was exposed to an incredible diversity of spices and chiles that are the base for many different types of dishes and salsas. These flavor profiles vary from region to region, and are influenced by native (Aztec and Mayan) as well as European (Spanish and French) cuisines. The results are a mix of flavors that are simply magical!
After living in the United States for several years, I set out to recreate some of this magic. I wanted to combine the spices and chiles from several of my favorite salsas into a single creation... Chile Crunch was born.
We have a hard time classifying Chile Crunch. Some people refer to it as a salsa, others as a tapenade, and still others as a condiment. The only thing we can all agree on is that it adds wonderful layers of flavors that compliment every meal. It is delicious on everything, from appetizers and soups, to pastas, pizza, tacos and everything in between.
Chile Crunch is made from a savory blend of roasted chiles, garlic, onion, herbs, and spices that are sautéed in canola oil; resulting in a crunchy burst of flavor. We use only natural ingredients and always prepared Chile Crunch in small batches to ensure quality.
